Why is bfme2 so expensive
In my opinion, none of the Evil mini-heroes are worth it; they die too easily. Nazgul are way over-priced, so s tay away from them. The main strategy I've found mini-heroes to be strong in is raiding resource building.
Really, they have no other use in your army of destruction. Battle for Middle Earth 2 Heaven. Buy Rise of the Witch-King from Amazon. Mordor is a great 'noob-pwning' faction but has a hard time versus pro's.
I can tell that from experience in clanwar. Cavalry is strong yes, but the point is that you have to use cavalry yourselve too. Don't complain about the uberness of cavalry if all factions can use them! Always back up your archers with pikes, and use cavalry on your own to deal with other archers. Mordor has the Mumakil which technically is cavalry but it is so slow and so expensive it almost doesn't fit that role.
I don't think anyone sees a bunch of archers and then thinks "Oh no I better crank out mumakils! I am anxious to see if they slow gameplay down. As it stands most of my matches only last about 10 minutes at most. I'm not looking for hour long games but 10 minutes is too quick in my opinion. Mordor can only really harass with heroes and orcs.
Are you kidding I just played a solid half hour game with a brutal dwarves. Wow are they ever hard. And then all the enemy needs is one battalion of pikeman, and the mumakil goes down in less than 3 seconds So not only does this derank the coolest unit in the game, mordor is left with no cavalry!!!
Not to mention their cost You are MUCH better off going with attack trolls. It's real weakness is enemy cavalry. They are strong too The Banner Carrier gives a leadership bonus, heals the Battlewagon out of combat good for raids , AND gives you a couple of pikemen on the back, who poke anythting in range.
Just ignore the enemy cavalry and continue to run around killing infantry- if the cavalry follow, they will quickly lose people to the Battlewagon without having much effect. I've actually killed an enemy mounted hero that way, though a real player would probably notice the dying hero and call him off. The Hearth is OK too, but the Men of Dale and Axe Throwers aren't very effective because they're non-upgraded and there's only two of them.
Mumakil friendly-fired units in the first game too, didn't they? I always just trampled over enemy troops instead of wasting time attacking them.
But yeah, they aren't so formidable anymore Although a bit twisted in that they do great against cavalry and bad against archers, I still see them as cavalry. That is something the Attack Trolls are not suited for.
I mean there weakness is arrows. And they are decent against pikeman Here's where the fun begins- pair up your Attack Trolls or mountain Trolls if you're skint and the Cavalry will try to run em over and fail. Then they will make baseballs out of the Cavalry while the rest of your army marches up. Against Goblins they are really useful-they can influence Cave Trolls and two ATs against one Giant results in a quick kill.
If the enemy has massed Cavalry, run a mass of Orcs into them and bog them down. Corsairs with Forged Blades or a Hero will help. I know i am a newb at this game, and you guys are tons better than me, just trying to put out my opinion. Then you can place like 10 outposts on top of each other, select all of them, than to ctlc followed by 19 ctlvclick on top of eachother. I make maps like these quite often so that the CP factor x setting has some use you can support like, c.
Since Its too much of a bother to get the AI to build walls on custom maps, it will just build up a huge army, but a human can always win as they arnt restricted to building directly around thier fortress and therefor can churn out a greater quantity of troops per min, sec, hr.
