What is eyeshadow base

Perfecting that eyeshadow look is a skill that can be difficult to hone in on, but when you finally do, it can be oh so rewarding. This helps to create the ideal blank canvas for your favorite eyeshadow, making it so much easier to perfect that look! But what is the difference between eye primer and eyeshadow base?

How do you know when to use each? While they perform similar functions, the truth is, eyeshadow base and primer are not quite the same! Both products would be applied before your eyeshadow to create a canvas for that perfect eyeshadow look. A primer will also help your eyeshadow last longer, so you can worry about enjoying your day, instead of fixing your makeup. You can absolutely use it under the eyes as well, to lock in color on your bottom lash line. It's up to you to see what will work for your lids.
