What is navigators verandah

I knew I would be sleeping on the fold down sofa and was quite apprehensive about it, but it was amazingly comfy!

I slept better there than I have in my own bed at home! The curtain divider was fantastic for separating the bed and living area.

My mom prefers to keep a lamp on at night and I need near total darkness to sleep. The curtain was nice and heavy so it was perfect at blocking most of the light! He kept the room spotless for us.

Parts of the stateroom were narrow the walking area between the end of the bed and the wall but overall we felt there was a reasonable amount of space. I don't know that I'd want a much smaller cabin even for just two people, though. I'm also torn in my feelings on the split bathroom. I think the idea of it is great. I liked that we could each claim a sink to leave our stuff on.

But the two sides were SO tiny, it was hard to get enough elbow room at times! I think I might prefer the single bathroom that is only available in Category 11 rooms. There are two that were easily accessible, on the desk area. If a larger family was traveling, this could be a real problem. We had a USB hub just in case and thankfully didn't need it.

We were a bit farther than expected even from the aft elevators and I think next time I'd go a bit more midship. Perhaps that someone is reading this blog post. What do you think will happen to these rooms?

What do you want to happen to the 7A staterooms? Are any of the adjacent rooms eg available? I would think that a 2W dry dock is not sufficient time to do much structural work creation of double decker suites. Just a guess, but I think they are going to close them off and make Deluxe Family Oceanview Rooms porthole that hold 5 people. They have catagory 8 on the Dream and Fantasy and none on the Magic and Wonder.

Just off the Disney Magic this morning. I inquired and was given the standard they are all booked — the first rooms to sell out.

Yet no one has a reservation for one that I can find. To charge more? I have never stayed in a 7A but I know people love that room category. But if Disney can convert it to a different category and charge more, then there you go. Scott, The biggest wildcard in this mystery is the two week dry dock time. Even enclosing with a port hole would be no small task. We have two 7A cabins booked in early April out of San Diego so I can poke around and see if I can find any answers.

They may not have known before but they might be able to find out while you are sailing on that cruise, Chris. Not until dry dock anyways.

I really have no insight to add, but just wanted to say that I think this is my favorite post by you EVER! Navigator Verandah. Cruise Ship Decks. We have more cabins Other Categories on Disney Magic. There is a railing that goes a little more than waist high and the top is open. A Navigator's Verandah is a little different. The best way to explain it is to think of a big open porthole on your balcony instead of the top being totally open. They also have a nautical map on the wall I don't know if the regular verandahs have these as I have only had a Navigator's Verandah on my 2 cruises. Hope that helps! Joined Sep 3, I must admit I always thought a Navigator's Verandah was at a lower level that a standard verandah though other's may well correct me on this.

Maybe it's an 'Upgrade' in the same way that windows crashing out to the infamous blue screen of death is a 'feature'. Joined Jun 14, DisFanJen said:. I just can't help it.
